I was born in Eastern India in 1990 and grew up reading comics, playing cricket, and listening to classic rock - this trifecta I hope has prepared me for life. An early interest in technology took me to study engineering for my bachelor's degree where I discovered photography thanks to my brother who bought a camera and was gracious enough to let me use it. A few years from then, I finished an MA in Photography from the University for the Creative Arts, UK.

The initial years of my practice were motivated by questions about the medium of photography. In recent years, my research interests have moved towards societal questions of power, representation and identity.

I’ve had an independent career since 2016 with my commercial practice in sports, people and lifestyle photography.
