Storytelling, for me, is about generating empathy and meaning, about helping a viewer see themselves in the story of another. Good storytelling, after all, shortens the distance between them and us. Through my experience as a photographer, filmmaker, and communications professional using design, I’ve come to realise that the biggest challenge (and opportunity) lies in how meaning travels from one person’s lived experience to another’s imagination.
